PLYMOUTH, Mich. - USA Hockey's National Team Development Program will host its inaugural Soccer Night on Saturday, Jan. 14, at USA Hockey Arena. The game will pit the U.S. National Under-18 Team against the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League.

Two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Lindsay Tarpley will be on site to meet fans and sign autographs starting at 6 p.m. ET. All youth soccer players in attendance will receive a free Tarpley poster at the game.

"We are happy to welcome the vibrant soccer community that exists in southeast Michigan to USA Hockey Arena," said NTDP senior director of operations Scott Monaghan. "At USA Hockey we strive to build Olympic athletes, so we are ecstatic to welcome two-time Olympic gold medalist, Lindsay Tarpley, into our home to meet our local soccer community.”

Sports nutrition information for youth athletes will be shared throughout the evening and every athlete will receive a half gallon of Kroger chocolate milk when leaving the game courtesy of the United Dairy Industry of Michigan. University of Michigan Northville Health System doctors will provide parents and players information about injury prevention, concussions and athlete health and wellness.

"Leading athletes like Lindsay know it's important to pay attention to nutrition because it's a critical component to performance and recovery," said Milk Means More manager of sports nutrition marketing Melissa Gerharter. "Her commitment to spreading that message to other athletes is a remarkable way to make an impact on other's health, especially younger soccer players who often don't consider what their eating as part of their training and on-field sports."

Youth athletes wearing their team jerseys will be entered to win a host of door prizes courtesy of Dick's Sporting Goods.

Special $8 group tickets are available for soccer associations and teams. More information and ticket purchasing are available by visiting the USA Hockey Arena box office located at 14900 Beck Road in Plymouth, Michigan, by calling (734) 453-8400, or visiting USAHockeyArena.com/SoccerNight.
