USA Hockey Arena to Host 2023 Chipotle-USA Hockey Youth Tier I 14U National Championships

Country's best hockey players aged 14-and-under will compete for top honors in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - USA Hockey Arena will serve as the host venue for the 2023 Chipotle-USA Hockey Youth Tier I 14U National Championships from March 29 – April 3, 2023. The tournament will bring in the top youth teams from around the nation to play at the home of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program.

Sixteen teams, representing each USA Hockey district, will compete in the six-day tournament. The first three days will include 24 round-robin contests and the top two teams from each division will advance to the quarterfinals on Saturday, April 1. Semifinal games will follow on Sunday, April 2 and the championship game will be played at 10:00 a.m. ET on Monday, April 3.

All 31 games of the tournament will be streamed online exclusively at USAHockey.tv. Games will be available live and on-demand after the completion of each contest. All sixteen teams and the complete game schedule are available by clicking here

Detroit-area teams Little Caesars and Oakland Jr. Grizzlies both qualified for the tournament, along with perennial powerhouses Shattuck-St. Mary's, Chicago Mission and LA Jr. Kings, among others. 

USA Hockey has conducted the country’s ice hockey National Championship tournaments since 1938, with teams from all across the United States crowned champions across various classifications. Michigan leads all U.S. states, serving as a Nationals host site 111 times since the inception. As part of USA Hockey Nationals, more than 7,500 players compete for American hockey top honors at youth, girl’s, women’s, sled, high school and adult levels.

ABOUT USA HOCKEY ARENA
Opened in 1996, USA Hockey Arena is a multi-purpose, two-rink facility in Plymouth, Michigan. Originally known as Compuware Sports Arena, it was renamed USA Hockey Arena in 2015 when the USA Hockey Foundation purchased the building to be the new home for their National Team Development Program. The arena encompasses 190,000 square feet with main level seating, private suites and press boxes. The design of the arena provides 3,504 seats for hockey games and 4,500 seats concerts and other events.
