USA Hockey Arena seeks highly motivated individual to manage arena

Job Title:       Manager (Night), Arena

Reports To:   General Manager, USA Hockey Arena

General Description:
The primary duties of the Night Manager will be to manage at least five (5) or more employees for the operation of the Summer Drive-In Movie Theatre in the Spring/Summer season. During the Fall/Winter season, the manager will implement a professional, effective, and enjoyable adult hockey league. In addition, the role will provide evening building management and event support.

Schedule: Spring/Summer: Tues. to Sat. from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Fall/Winter, Mon. to Fri. from 4:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Schedule may vary based on arena events.

Qualificaitons:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.

Major Tasks:

  • Authority to interview, hire, and schedule evening employees.
  • Monitor safety and implement safety/rules procedures.
  • Manage and meet annual budget.
  • Manage up to 12 part-time employees.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Specific Duties - Adult League:

  • Adult leagues must run in accordance to USA Hockey’s Rules and Guidelines.
  • All customer service aspects of the league.

Specific Duties - Summer Drive-In:

  • Manage work schedule for all drive-in employees.
  • Ensure parking lot is set up for opening.
  • Follow established screen set-up procedures.
  • Handle start cash and end of night deposits.
  • Produce and submit closing reports to the appropriate parties.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all work areas – parking lot, ticket booths, outhouses, etc.
  • Maintain all arena equipment – projectors, computers, etc.
  • All customer service aspects of the drive-in.
  • General knowledge of projection equipment recommended.

Experience and Education:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of computer technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred; or suitable previous work experience acceptable.
  • Experience with handling all levels of customer service.
  • Supervisory Skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Ability to train staff and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among staff members.

Salary: Commensurate with experience. This is a full-time, salary position with benefits.
